Any ideas to help with discomfort from gas?

Baby girl is getting breastmilk through a bottle at 3.5 wks and is EXTREMELY gassy. I know that is somewhat normal but she's very uncomfortable and can never seem to get a good sleep in due to struggling to get gas out and always cries when pooping even though stool is soft. I have tried bicycle legs, lay on tummy and rub back, switching bottles, eating propped up/sitting up after eating and gas drops...none of which works. She just cries harder until it decides to move. She squirms during naps and usually ends up waking herself up. I'm going to try gripe water next...any other ideas? -Anonymous
