How do I know if my baby is getting enough breastmilk?

Hi. I'm a first time mom to a 10 day old boy. I am ebf currently. I have had some issues with it and I need some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing. Since day one, my right nipple has been extremely sore. It hurt so bad i would sometimes cry when my son would latch on. it bothered me so badly that i began pumping my right side and feeding him from my left side and a bottle (pumped milk) as needed (when he was still hungry). I started this when my son was 6 days old. I saw a LC (on day 7) who said my right nipple looked as if it wasn't out enough, so she gave me a nipple shield. My son took to it at the LC's office, but since then he pushes me away when I offer him the right breast with or without the shield. I've been continuing to feed from the left, pump the right and feed him a bottle (pumped milk) if he needs it. Due to engorgement with the right side before seeing the LC, I was pumping 1.5 oz out of only my right side. Every 3 hours. Now I am getting only .5oz every pumping (every 3 hours). Is that normal? Is it enough for my son? We go for another weight check tomorrow, but last Monday and Thursdays weight checks says he is maintaining his weight (not losing or gaining). I'm drinking water and mothers milk tea, although I may not be drinking enough of either. My concern is that my son is not getting enough milk. I'm guessing he is getting 1oz between pumped milk and left breast with each feeding. Is that enough for his age? He nurses anywhere from every 1.5-3 hours. I'm feeling sad because I'm scared I may have to supplement! please help!!
