Is there anything I can use to remedy eczema other than changing diet and the cortisone cream?

My four month old son has been suffering with eczema for about two months now. His pediatrician prescribed cortisone cream, and I'm not loving it. I spoke with an acupuncturist on the matter, and she said to try an elimination diet. I cut dairy, eggs, nuts, and shellfish for three days to see if it made a difference. Nothing changed. I began using the cream just so my son wasn't uncomfortable, but now the eczema is so bad, the cream isn't even making a dent in the continually reappearing red patches. Can I get more suggestions?!
