Refusing Solids

My 10mo old was EBF until six months. We tried BLW for awhile and took a break because he didn't want anything to do with it. We revisited it a few weeks later and ever since then the reaction has been the same: gagging until puking and then tears. I don't think he has ever even swallowed any of the food. We also tried purees to no avail. Is this normal? Should I be concerned at all?

All children begin to eat solids at different times, and when they are ready. If it seems that your little one is having troubles with the texture of the foods, it may be something to run by your health care provider to make sure that there isn't a reason for the food rejection. It may just be that your little one needs more time as well! Hope this helps!
